Katie's Pick

I love the quotes from Gayle's books. I normally don't write in my books, but her books are ones I want to high light the heck out of. There are so many uplifting, and moving quotes in her books. Her quotes really hit home to me. I feel like there's something for everyone in her books. Her quotes are some of my favorites. Her words are inspirational, and ones for all ages. I really wish there was a Gayle Forman quote book. I'd totally buy it.

"You'll get through it. I know it seems like you won't, but you will."

It was really hard picking only one of my favorite quotes. This is the Gayle Forman quote that has always stood out the most to me. I absolutely love it! It's such a powerful reminder that no matter what you're dealing with, or going through, you will get through it! No one in life is without trials. Some days are wonderful, and other days you can feel like your drowning in a bottomless sea of darkness. No matter what life throws at you, you will get through it. Even if it seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel. This is a quote that regardless of your age, is one to hold onto, and always remember. Never give up. You'll get through it.

"Saba used to say there was a difference between bravery and courage. Bravery was doing something dangerous without thinking. Courage was walking into danger, knowing full well the risks."

I picked a quote from Just One Year which is my fav Gayle Forman book. I loved following Willem's journey and seeing the other side to what we knew from Just One Day. I picked this quote because it's meaning is one I think of a lot in my life when things are tough. how. Sometimes is takes real courage to step into the unknown and make changes to make life better.

Sophie's Pick

"Letting go. Everyone talks about it like it's the easiest thing. Unfurl your fingers one by one until your hand is open. But my hand has been clenched into a fist for three years now; it's frozen shut."

As a mom there are those moments where you have to let go -- first day of preschool, kindergarten, learning to ride a bike. These are the hardest times because all you want to do is protect the one you love. Where She Went is my favorite Gayle story, and Adam describes this moment so beautifully. Letting go, at times, seems impossible.
