Four clans have been at war for centuries: the Kodiak, the Raven, the Wolf and the Ram. Through brutal war tactics, the Ram have dominated the region, inflicting death and destruction on their neighbors.

Seventeen-year-old Zo is a Wolf and a Healer who volunteers to infiltrate the Ram as a spy on behalf of the allied clans. She offers herself as a Ram slave, joining the people who are called the “nameless.” Hers is a suicide mission – Zo’s despair after losing her parents in a Ram raid has left her seeking both revenge and an end to her own misery. But after her younger sister follows her into Rams Gate, Zo must find a way to survive her dangerous mission and keep her sister safe.

What she doesn’t expect to find is the friendship of a young Ram whose life she saves, the confusing feelings she develops for a Ram soldier, and an underground nameless insurrection. Zo learns that revenge, loyalty and love are more complicated than she ever imagined in the first installment of this two-book series.

I LOVED this book! I don't even know what else to say other than I love, love, loved. To say this book is awesome, is an understatement. I felt like Nameless is a mix of some of my favorite authors, and yet, it's something entirely it's own. Nameless is a book that gave me everything I had hoped for and a lot more. There's heart pounding, on the edge of your seat action. Romance that left me wishing I had book two in my hands (please tell me there's a book two, because I NEED there to be one), and brilliantly written characters. Since I just mentioned the romance, let's talk about it for moment.

Holy smokes, this romance is spoking hot! It's one of those slow burning, yearning kind of romances where you want nothing more than to get the characters alone.... but alas, its so much more complicated than that. When Zo falls in love with the enemy, well let's just say there's a lot of angst, and feeling torn between what her heart is feeling vs what she's been raised to believe. Beyond the romance, there is also the element of love, in all it's various forms. It's a driving force in the decisions many of the characters make. I loved it. Those forms are what make it so easy to love the enemy.

Normally I mention something about the main characters in my review, but I have so much to say that I don't even know where to start. There's more to this story than a main character, because so many characters ended up playing key roles through out the story. The NAMELESS characters are outstanding, courageous, fearless, characters! It's been a long time since I have read a book where every single character within the book, both lovable, likable, and ones you wish you could banish to, well you know where, were characters I loved. Yes, even the bad ones. And oh are they bad. Thankfully there are some really good ones too. Each character is created in such an in-depth way, they felt real. These characters weren't just characters on the pages of a book, they're characters that all came to life will I read this story.

Talk about a gifted writer. Jennifer Jenkins has created something amazing with NAMELESS. Her storytelling in outstanding. From her characters, to her storyline, and plot line, everything was flawlessly written. I absolutely loved it. I got so caught up with her story, and all that was happening, that being sleep deprived the next day because I stayed up all night reading, was totally worth it. Aside from her characters, is her stunning world building. Yep, I said stunning. It was so incredibly easy for me to imagine Zo's world. The good, the bad, and the beautiful parts of it. Then there's the enchanting mythology and the history between the various clans. I loved it, and wanted more of it all at the same time. It's in-depth, beautifully structured, and elegantly created. I loved how all the elements Jennifer infused into her story, were beautifully blended together to create on unforgettable story.

Everything about Nameless is flawless. This story effortlessly came to life, and I did not want it to end. This is a book that has a spot on my favorites book case. Jennifer Jenkins is an author I hope to read many more books from, because I'm having a book hang over right now, and I feel bad for the next book I pick up.
