Dragged on a family trip to Europe’s ancient cities, Becca wants nothing more than to go home. Trapped with her emotionally distant father, over-eager stepmother, and a brother who only wants to hook up with European hotties, Becca is miserable. That is until she meets Nikolai, a guy as mysterious as he is handsome. And she unknowingly finds herself with a runaway prince.

Nikolai has everything a guy could ask for-he's crown prince, heir to the throne, and girls adore him. But the one thing he doesn't have...is freedom. Staging a coup, he flees his kingdom and goes undercover on his own European tour.

When Nikolai and Becca meet, it’s their differences that draw them together. Sparks fly as they share a whirlwind of adventures, all the while dodging his royal guard. But Becca's family vacation ends in a matter of days. Will Nikolai and Becca be forced to say goodbye forever, will his destiny catch up to him, or will they change history forever?

About Angie

Angie Stanton never planned on writing books; she wanted to be a Rockette. However, growing up in rural Wisconsin, with her brothers’ 4-H pigs as pets, dance didn’t work out. Instead she became an avid daydreamer. After years of perfecting stories in her head, she began to write them down, and the rest is history.
Angie is the author of six books including Royally LostRock and a Hard Place, and Snapshot. She graduated with a Journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin, and is a proud double finalist of the National Readers Choice Awards for Love ‘em or Leave ‘em.

#TMITuesday: Listen to the CoHF Audiobook Snippet

We're 1 week away from City of Heavenly Fire being out!! I believe today's #TMITuesday has totally ruined me! haha My emotions can't take the wait any longer. Check out what Cassie posted this morning.

Counting down to this, our last TMI Tuesday before City of Heavenly Fire comes out!
This #TMITuesday hold onto your headphones because we are sharing an exclusive audiobook excerpt from #COHF.
AND… it gets even better! The clip features one of #COHF’s two incredibly talented audiobook narrators – SOPHIE TURNER. You probably know her best as Sansa Stark from HBO’s @GameOfThronesbut after listening to this you may just want her to read all your books to you!

And above, as we wind down to the end of Cassandra Jean’s postcards for City of Heavenly Fire…Jace burns with heavenly fire. Luke reaches out to his sister, Amatis, dressed in red gear. And Alec holds his own sister.
See you on the other side, Shadowhunters…

Now listen to this CoHF audiobook snippet:

I LOVE what I'm hearing so far, and you guys know how anal I am about audiobooks. I'm just saying listening to Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner.... I can not wait to get this audiobook!!!

Here's a transcript of the recording snippet:

City of Lost Souls Read-A-Long: Chapters 18 & 19

Hello & welcome to days #18 & #19 of our City of Lost Souls Read-A-Long. You can find out more about the read along and find the schedule here. There is no right or wrong way to participate. Your comments can be as long or as short as you'd like them to be.

Today's discussion is about the Part III: All Is Changed (Chapters 18 & 19)

Chapter 18: Raziel
  • I loved Simon's interaction with Raziel. On pg 426 we find out that Simon is a warrior much like Simon Maccabeus, who's name Raziel says he bears. Like that Simon who gave everything for his brother Jonathan, which I'm assuming is Jonathan Shadowhunter, Raziel asks Simon if he'll give everything for his Jonathan, meaning Jace. Were you shocked by the compassion of the two? To me, that all makes perfect sense.
  • Though the mark is removed from Simon, do you think he still possess some kind of power or protection? There's a reason Raziel explained the Mark, and Simon's name sake to him.
Chapter 19: Love & Blood
  • What in the name of Shadowhunters! This chapter gets me every time. I don't even know what to say other than the fact that Sebastian is definitely as evil as they come.... I will give him credit and say he's worse than Valentine. What are your thoughts?
Please DO NOT POST SPOILERS. There's some fans who are joining the read-a-long who are reading Clockwork Prince for the first time.

Mundane Monday #212 - Jace & Clary from City of Lost Souls

Happy belated Mundane Monday! We're one week away from CoHF hitting shelves! My CoLS read-a-long is coming to an end this week. It's not to late to join in the discussions here. I've loved re-reading this. I've forgotten about some of those sweet moments that happen between each of the characters. Enjoy this one between Jace & Clary.

He caught her hand and brought it to his face. "I want you," he said, "more than I have ever wanted anything in my life. But I...." He swallowed. "Name of the Angel, I'm going to kick myself for this later."

"Don't say you're trying to protect me," she said fiercely. "Because I -"

"It's not that," he said. "I'm not being self-sacrificing. I'm... jealous."

"You're --- jealous? Of who?"

"Myself." His face twisted. "I hate the thought of him being with you. Him. That other me. The one sebastian controls."

Mortal Enchantment by Stacey O'Neale, Book Blitz & Giveaway

Happy Book Birthday to debut author Stacey O'Neale!
“Mortal Enchantment spins a unique twist on elemental mythology. This series is not to be missed.”  - Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author

In Kalin Matthew's world, elementals control the forces of nature. They are divided into four courts: air, woodland, fire, and water. At sixteen she will leave the life she's built with her mortal mother. Kalin will move to Avalon to rule with her father—the elemental king of the air court. Along the way, she's attacked by a fire court assassin and saved by Rowan, a swoon-worthy elemental with a questionable past.

Worst of all, she learns her father is missing.

To rescue him, Kalin will have to work with a judgmental council and a system of courts too busy accusing each other of deceit to actually be able to help her. But, they aren’t her biggest challenge. With the Midwinter’s Ball only five days away, Kalin must take over her father’s duties, which includes shifting control of the elements—power Kalin has yet to realize.

As Rowan attempts to train her, a war looms between the four courts. If Kalin fails, her father will die and the courts will fall, but the betrayal she’s about to uncover may cost her even more...
