TMI Movie News: The Movie Set vs Finding Filming Locations

Set visits vs Location visits: Today I wanted to take a moment an answer a few questions I keep getting about visiting the movie set, vs finding filming locations. Hopefully this post will help explain the difference between visiting the movie set and finding the onsite locations, my not being able to discuss my set visit vs those who are able to post pictures from the filming locations they visit.

I have been getting a lot of great questions lately about the movie set, filming locations, and how to find out where they are filming. Among those question I've seen a lot of questions asking if I can help fans out and tell them where the movie set is and where filming is going on each day. This sometimes leads to frustration from the fan asking questions, because I don't tell them anything other than, "I'm sorry, I can't tell you" or "I would recommend asking one of the fans who's already been on site". I think there's some confusion over set visits vs location visits. I'll do my best to answer those questions here, and explain the difference between the set visit vs location visit, and why fans don't always get the answer they're hoping for from the fansites.

The movie set itself is closed, and is it not one anyone has been on unless they've been personally invited to be on set. You can not easily find the set, nor can you just walk on set. For those who have been invited on set, NO PICTURES are allowed, which is why you didn't see myself or any of the other fans sites posting or tweeting during our time on set. You can read my brief re-cap from my on set visit here from this weekend (I'm currently embargoed and can't talk about my set visit. I can't wait for it to be lifted so I can tell you guys all about it). Like with many movies, a lot of what is filmed is done on set, as well as on location around the city. In this case the location is various places around Toronto.

Location wise, all the pictures you've seen posted from the "set" are not from the set, set. They are from fans who have found the on site locations of were the movie is being shot. I mean it is the set, but not the set, set where a few of us TMI fansites were invited to go on this past weekend. Confused yet? The locations fans are finding and posting pictures of are from the places around Toronto that are outside of the actual movie closed set location. What's being posted as set visits are really location visits. The pictures are ones from fans who have been lucky enough to find out where TMI is being filmed around Toronto. Just from my visit last weekend, I'm in awe anyone can find locations. That city is HUGE and of course extremely beautiful. I can see why there are so many movies being filmed there.

Neither the set nor the filming locations are publicly posted and unless you know someone who's already been to those sites, know someone involved with where the movie is being filmed at, or have been one of the few fans who's gone to the other location sites, it's incredibly hard to find any of the places. I wish I could be more of a help to those wanting to find the areas to watch filming, but those who know where they are at have been asked not to mention it publicly, as in post about it, tweet it etc. I love all the excitement that's surrounding the TMI movie! I think it's amazing that so many fans want to come out and watch them film, see the cast and tell the cast how amazing they are.

I hope this has answered some of your questions and helped explain why when asked on twitter, DMs and emails where the set is the answers is always I can't say or I don't know (there are times I really don't know where it's at). YOU GUYS are amazing! I know your support for the movie and Cassie's world has not gone unnoticed! TMI Fans Rock!

TMI Movie News: Cassie's Latests Pics, The Cast/Crew Interact with Fans

Yesterday was filming Day 26 of the TMI movie! I know, it's hard to believe they've already been filming for that long. There's been very little to report on movie set wise lately, because it's been a closed set. Yesterday they were on location and I believe TMI Source's Toronto correspondent was there. I'll post to their re-cap when it's up.

There's been a few pictures and tweets posted lately that I wanted to share really quickly. I LOVE how The TMI cast and crew interact with their fans. Sure they don't tweet often to fans as they're a little busy filming a movie for us, but even the little bit they tweet and share with fans is amazing. To me that shows how much they care about those supporting them.

For example, Godfrey and Kevin both had birthdays last week and in response to all the birthday wishes they received from fans they both tweeted this:

Martin has been amazing with keeping fans in the loop on what's been going on with the movie. His tweet this weekend sent fans in a frenzy of excitement!

Of course nothing tops a picture from Cassie on set. Um, hello Magnus's hand! Cassie posted this picture of her and Godfrey's hands. Holy smokes, his hands are huge! I am SO excited to see Magnus! I can't wait for when they post a picture of Godfrey in costume. I'm sure that will be awhile before we see it, but that's fine.... patience is not a virtue I have, but seeing him as Magnus will make the wait worth it.

Cassie with Side Burns Guy aka Jeff: (picture used in Cassie's post is of Jamie aka JACE and Side Burns Guy aka Jeff, which was taken on Sat. 9/23)

I have posted this picture because of the deep and meaningful conversation I had with sideburns guy the other day.

Me: How does it feel, sideburns guy, to have all this fame?

Sideburns Guy: My name is Jeff.

Me: You know there is like a hashtag for you and a twitter
.
Him: Also a Facebook.

Me: Are you okay with that?

Him: It seems to be a pretty well-run Facebook.

Me: Don’t let the fame go to your head.

Him: Well, when the madness first started, I got on the booze and the pills, but I’m in rehab now and it’s all good.*

* This obviously is a TOTAL LIE. Sideburns guy does not appear to have any dark secrets, but if he does, I’ll let you know.

Waiting on Wednesday / Cover Reveal: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout

So last week while I was preparing for my trip to Toronto/TMI Movie set visit, I received an exciting email inviting me to be apart of the cover reveal on Friday (this past Friday) for Jennifer's upcoming release OPAL. Not that I had to think about this one. I LOVE this series and Jennifer's writing is awesome! She knows how to mix action, sarcasm and sexy times perfectly. Sad thing happened, while in Toronto I realized the post was never up, and sadly I had spotty internet service and wasn't able to do anything about it. This is a post that needs to be up! So I'm combining the late cover reveal here on MM's with my W.O.W.

Check out this cover!! Until we can enjoy jumping back into Daemon and Kat's world, enjoy drooling looking at that cover.

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.
But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love. After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.Together we’re stronger... and they know it.
