COLS Trailer!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Talk about exciting and evil.... Dirty Robber has done a fabulous job with Cassie's COLS trailer! Go HERE, to EW's Shelf life to check it out. Once I get the embedded code for the trailer I'll post it here.

Per EW:

In the world of book trailers, the clip below hasAvatar-level production values. But it’s worth the big budget to please the legion of rabid fans who wait in eager anticipation for the fifth installment in Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments series, coming your way May 8. The film version of the first book in the series, City of Bones, will star Lily Collins as Clary and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace.
City of Lost Souls finds Jace freed from the demon Lilith’s captivity but horribly changed by her dark magic. Jace is now bound to the evil Sebastian, and the Clave must band together to break the impenetrable bond between them. Clary still believes that Jace, the boy she loves, can be saved — but she and her Shadowhunter allies in for a fight that will challenge both heaven and hell, and Clary must venture into the heart of darkness herself to save him. The new trailer focuses on Sebastian, and wow, we have every reason to fear his wrath.

What do you guys think? I think we're going to be in for some big surprises!

Don't forget, you have 3 weeks left to pre-order your special edition of COLS, and find out all the info to Cassie's COLS Launch Party here.

**Notice anything about the Jace on the cover of COLS and the trailer Jace? (whispers) It's the same Jace ;)

City of Fallen Angels Read -A- Long: Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the City of Fallen Angels Read-A-Long. You can follow the entire read-a-long and find each of the day's posts here. Remember there's no right or wrong way to participate. Your comments can be as long or a short as you'd like them to be. You can answer one or each of the questions asked, it's totally up to you, BUT, in order to be entered into the COLS giveaway (which you also had to sign up to win), you do need to be actively participating in the read-a-long.

Today's discussion is about: Chapter 1: The Master

  • When I first read COFA I was a little surprised to learn that Simon was dating not just Izzy, but Maia as well. I've never thought of Simon as the type of guy to date two girls at the same time, though I can see why he would with these two. They're both great girls. I've always adored Simon, but I never pictured him and Izzy together (at first), even after their little hook up in COB. If he had to choose one girl to date, which one would you want him to choose?
  • Camille *gasp* Where you shocked to learn that Camille is back? I was too. What do you think of Camille's offer to Simon? Do you think she has an ulterior motive for wanting Simon to work with her?

Please DO NOT POST SPOILERS. There's some fans who are joining the read-a-long who are reading COFA for the first time.

Waiting on Wednesday: The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Published by: Scholastic
To Be Released on: September 8th, 2012
Series: Raven Cycle, Book 1 of 4
Pre-Order from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | IndieBound

“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

From Maggie Stiefvater, the bestselling and acclaimed author of theShiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races
, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we’ve never been before.- quoted from Goodreads

I'm a huge fan of Maggie's writing and I can not wait for this book to be out!!  You can read more about The Raven Boys on Maggie's blog and The Raven Boys site. You can also read the first two chapters on EW's Shelf-Life.

What book are you waiting on?
