Cassie's Latest Posts / TMI Related News

Recently I've been trying to do a weekly re-cap of Cassie's recents posts, and with being sick the past two weeks I've fallen slightly behind on doing so. Here's a brief re-cap of a few of Cassie's posts. Be sure to follow Cassie's Tumblr to read ALL of her posts. Trust me, you want to go read them. ;)

CLOCKWORK PRINCESS NEWS:

Adrihyn asked Cassie, "Will Clockwork Princess and City of Heavenly Fire have any extras/excerpts?"

I don’t know about Heavenly Fire yet, but as for Clockwork Princess, if you’re asking if there will be different editions with special content like letters — no. In every first edition of the North American version of Clockwork Princess, there will be a family tree that shows the connections between the generations in The Infernal Devices and the generation in The Mortal Instruments.

It’s pretty cool.

** First edition: A publisher prints a certain number of books. It is called a “print run.” When all those books are sold, they print a new run of books. Each print run is numbered. The first edition is every book from the first print run. How do you get a first edition? Your best bet is to pre-order the book. You can do that online anywhere that you can order books, or go into any bookstore and pre-order.

*I don’t know about its availability overseas yet.

TMI fans are some of the most talented fans I know of, and I love how Cassie often times shares her favorite artwork. I AM IN LOVE with this one of Will! Cassie featured it here.

Fanart of Julian Blackthorn and Emma Carstairs was featured this past week on Cassie's tumblr with her saying, "Emma and Jules! Ahh, the Dark Artifices. I am having so much fun plotting it, but at the same time it makes me sad because I know it's coming out will mean TMI is over. *feelz*"

I love this one of Will and Jem!

I love this! Cassie's been posting some sweet TMI movie graphics that I some how keep missing.

Cassie featured another awesome TMI movie poster. I love how this poster shows Clary in both worlds.

Questions and answers

1) “is the release date for the clockwork princess march 19 2013? will there be another book after the city of heavenly fire? — in-this-moment-we-are-infinte”

Yep, that’s the release date of Clockwork Princess, and yes City of Heavenly Fire is the last book of the Mortal Instruments. After that comes The Dark Artifices, a new Shadowhunter series.

I also have not been checking my mail here on tumblr and just did and realized I had like 800 messages in the form of fanmails, which hadn’t occurred to me would happen if I turned off asks, so I am extremely grateful for all the messages, but I can’t answer them all, so I’m going to try to answer the ones that are of general interest publicly. Like this one!

2) "I love how you write amazing book and still seem to be a fangirl at heart"- wepreferintellectualbadass

It is true. Not the amazing books part, but the huge geek part. I say huge geek in the best possible way. Geeks make the world go around. Who loves things more than we do?

3) How often has Magnus been to South Carolina?

Often enough that he pays taxes there.

4) Which are you more nervous about City of Heavenly Fire or Clockwork Princess? - oneofthenightchildren

— In terms of “when they come out, how will people react?” I guess Clockwork Princess, because the ending gave my critique group a lot of “AAAAA!” (although everyone agreed it was the only way it could end, but I still rewrote it about 1,000 times) whereas CoHF isn’t finished. So without myself knowing exactly how the ending plays out, even if I do know what happens, I can’t guess how people might react. Mostly people react to the execution of something rather than the idea.

The Mortal Instruments City of Bones MOVIE TIE-IN will be out on July 9th, 2013 (at least according to Amazon)! There's not been an official announcement yet on whether or not this is true, but I really hope it is! Despite owning a "few" copies of City of Bones, I would totally pick up the movie tie in.

Speaking of City of Bones, the City of Bones graphic novel by Th3rd World have been pushed back from it's May 2013 released to August 6th, 2013. Another book I can't wait to pick up.

The Unauthorized Guide to The Mortal Instruments hits shelves in June 4th, 2013. Both Amazon and Barnes & Noble are already taking pre-orders from The Mortal Instruments Companion: City of Bones, Shadowhunters, and the Sight: The Unauthorized Guide by Lois H. Gresh. This book is NOT affiliated with Cassandra Clare, Simon & Schuster or the film. Unauthorized companions are books that have no ties to anyone affiliated with the original series. Lois Gresh has written unauthorized companions for both Twilight and The Hunger Games.

Is this a book you guys would pick up? I'm normally not a fan of unauthorized books, but this is one I might have to flip through and check out at the book store.

Real life couple, Jamie and Lily, also known as Jace and Clary, were spotted at this past week's 2012 British Fashion Awards hosted in London on Monday. What a great looking couple.

Our own Luke Garroway, known in real life as Adrian Truner was spotted at The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey's movie premiere in New Zealand on Wednesday. Good thing he was there, as Adrian is in this movie! More reason to go watch it and support our TMI movie cast members. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters on 12/14/12.
