Infernal Devices Clockwork Prince 31 Day Celebration: Day 11 Will's Walk Down Memory Lane

It's Day 11 of our 31 Days of Clockwork Prince and today I wanted to share a snippet of Clockwork Prince. This isn't like one of the teasers I've been posting, but it's one that showcases one of the things I love about Cassie's writing. She creates these vivid scenes that I can picture clearly in my mind as I read them. This memory of Will's is one that I love. It makes me yearn for this, as much as he does.

Even after years in London, rain made him think of home. He still remembered the way it had rained in the countryside, in Wales, the green fresh taste of it, the way it felt to roll over and over down a damp hillside, getting grass in your hair and clothes.......

Will wondered if you could ever really be a Londoner if you had that in your blood- the memory of great open spaces, the wideness of the sky, the clear air.

Amelia—still caught between life and death—must fight for every moment of her relationship with the human boy Joshua. They can hardly even kiss without Amelia accidentally dematerializing. But even in a city so famously steeped in the supernatural, Amelia ends up with more questions than answers…and becomes increasingly convinced that she and Joshua can never have a future together.Wandering through the French Quarter, Amelia meets other in-between ghosts, and begins to seriously consider joining them. And then she meets Gabrielle. Somehow, against impossible odds, Gaby has found a way to live a sort of half-life...a half-life for which Amelia would pay any price. Torn between two worlds, Amelia must choose carefully, before the evil spirits of the netherworld choose for her -quoted from Goodreads

I loved HEREAFTER and I'm loving the cover for ARISE! This is one sequel that's on my must have list for 2012! What book are you waiting on?
