The Dark Artifices

It's been quite a news day in Mundie Moms' Land (don't try to picture what that would look like, but start with a multi-level bookstore and cafe and you'll be close) and there's one more tweet from Cassie that I'd like to share with all of you:

"Do you plan on writing anymore books on Shadowhunters other than TMI & ID series?"   I have a plan for another Shadowhunter trilogy (contemporary, but not about the characters from TMI). Working title: The Dark Artifices. It takes place five years after the end of TMI and deals with the Shadowhunters of the Los Angeles Institute.

I have many other idea for other books that do not take place in the Shadowhunter world, including a high fantasy series and a contemporary updated Jane Austen comedy. It just is a matter of what I write first.
This is such good news, isn't it?? What will the L.A. Institute Shadowhunters be like, I wonder?

City of Bones Graphic Novel Update and More TMI News

Yesterday, Cassie also tweeted some new panels from the City of Bones graphic novel from Th3rd World Studios. The artist is "talented newcomer" Nicole Virella. I think she's done a fantastic job capturing the feel of the book and the look of the characters.

What do you guys think of it? Do you recognize the scenes? As of now there is still no release date for the graphic novel but we adore these sneak peeks.

And what Mundie Mom doesn't love a shot of Jace in action?? Hmmm??

In other news, City of Fallen Angels is NUMBER ONE on the New York Times Best Seller List and the Wall Street Journal Best Seller List as well. What a week, Mundie Moms!!

Clockwork Prince Teaser - DSBS?!?! Oh my!

Pretty Alec by ~KazeWarrior

So Cassie tweeted a hot teaser from Clockwork Prince last night. Who doesn't love a boy at a masquerade ball?? And yes, we will be referring to this as the Dirty, Sexy Balcony Scene (DSBS) from now on, because...well, read it:
He reached up and unlocked Tessa's hands from around his neck. He drew her gloves off, and they joined her mask and the hairpins on the stone floor of the balcony. He pulled off his own mask next and cast it aside, running his hands through his sweat-dampened hair, pushing it back from his forehead. The lower edge of the mask had left marks across his high cheekbones, like light scars, but when she reached to touch them, he gently caught at her hands and pressed them down.

“No,” he said. “Let me touch you first."
See what I mean? *reaches for a fan*

Wings Read Along- Chapters 15-18

Welcome to Day 5 in our Wings Read Along! If you haven't already, please be sure to download your FREE ebook of Wings from one of these sites here- Today we're discussing chapters 15-18:

Chapter 15- The Ring. After Laurel and David try an experiment, David notices Laurel is playing with something, which is the ring that Tamani gave Laurel. What do you think the ring really means? Do you think it's really a baby ring like he said in Chapter 14?

Chapter 16 & 17- Laurel's Dad. I wanted to focus on Laurel's dad for a moment, and I won't giveaway anything away, but Laurel's dad being sick has something to do with the story. Why do you think he's so sick? Do you think he's going to make it? Do you think there's something Laurel can do to help him?

Chapter 18- Laurel's Dad takes a turn for the worse, Mr Barnes shows up at the hospital and Laurel's mom acts weird, but most importantly her mother has decided to sell the land. I'm thinking that everything is connected and there's a lot more to Mr Barnes than meets the eye. What are your thoughts? Do you think everything is connected and what do you think Mr Barnes really is?

Tomorrow we'll be discussing chapters 19-22.
