5 stars- I love this series

Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

What a bleeping fantastic sequel. Kiersten made me fall in love with her characters, her world and her writing in Paranormalcy, and she had me loving them even more in Supernaturally.

There are a lot of things I enjoyed about this sequel, and one of them is the character journey Evie goes on. Her quest to find herself and discover who she really is isn't easy, and Evie being the strong character she is makes some tough decisions. I really want to sit here and list all the things I enjoyed about Evie, but for the sake of spoilers I'll sum my feelings up by saying I already admire Evie and all she had to deal with in Parnormalcy, but my admiration for her character grew even more. She is someone who not only can kick you butt and look hot doing so, but she also has a vulnerable side she rarely shows that I liked seeing.

Along with Evie, I felt each of the characters grew a lot more and become much more in-depth. I love the way Kiersten has written her characters, and I like the direction they each took. I liked that not only are some of my favorite characters back, but some new ones are introduced as well, each adding something to the story. Whether it's support for Evie, to add a twist in the plot, an element of surprise or of course to try and trick Evie. *sigh* Oh Reth...you bad boy you. I think I like you more than I should, but you've got some stiff competition. Lend, can I possibly like you even more, especially when you say those things you did to Evie. I have a feeling you'll be melting a few hearts.

Supernaturally's writing is flawless, it flows beautifully, and is unpredictable in an oh so good way. I could not figure out the ending and I absoultely love it when that happens. Kiersten kept me on my toes the whole time, from the way she creates her characters, to the story's brilliant humor and the wonderful twists. I adore Kiersten's writing. Okay, really I would love to bottle up her awesomeness and use it as my own. I loved this sequel. It's a must have book with it's snark, swoon worthy moments and plenty of laugh out lines. If you loved Parnormalcy, I highly recommend picking up Supernaturally. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book.
