4 stars- It's A Good Read

For Teagan, these last few months have been heaven on earth- especially now that Garreth, her boyfriend and guardian angel, is earthbound. But perhaps Garreth is becoming a little more human than either of them expected.
Now, Teagan must realize that her world is once again about to shift, as she questions the faith she held in others against those once considered enemies.
In this continuation of Angel Star, Lemniscate will draw you even deeper into the world of dark and light as Teagan realizes the angel who could possibly save them all is the one angel she feared the most (quoted from Goodreads).

Lemniscate is a great sequel and unlike Angel Star were I was definitely more team Garreth, this time around I ended up being a lot more drawn to Hadrian. It wasn't hard to see why Teagen felt so torn between the two, not only does she have the ability to see the good in everyone, but she finally understands what her important rule is between good vs evil, light vs darkness, Garreth vs Hadrian. She learns more about herself and her purpose in everything.

The characters were more in-depth, the mythology is richer, there's more twists and of course some tough choices to be made. I spent a good part of the book being really irritated with Garreth. He makes some really stupid choices that really frustrated me about his character, but at the same time had he not made these choices than two other characters, Ryan and Hadrian wouldn't have been able to enter the picture like they did. I really enjoyed getting to know them more, and they're really what I enjoyed most about the story. Let me just say, they both surprised me and it wasn't hard to love these two characters. I liked seeing a completely different side to both of them. I felt a lot more emotional connected to the characters, hence my frustrations with Garreth.

With out giving away any spoilers, there are a few great plot and character twists, and Garreth's actions make sense in the end, though I felt like Teagan was too quick to excuse his behavior. Jennifer nicely wraps up a lot of the story's plot in the end and leaves a few things left to be revealed in the next installment in this series. I'm looking forward to finding out what else is in store for Teagen, Hadrian, and Garreth. Each time Teagen is there to face the darkness, she becomes stronger, but next time she knows it's going to be a lot of harder than even she can imagine.

Lemniscate is about love, second chances, forgiveness, letting go, and most importantly redemption. If you enjoyed Angel Star, I would definitely recommend picking up Lemniscate when it's released later this month. I'll end by saying don't be surprised if you find yourself drawn to the dark side and become Team Hadrian.....

  1. Lemny!! :-) Great review! I thoroughly enjoyed Lemniscate and hope there's another book in the series. Garreth annoyed me too, but at the same time his actions were understandable. Ryan's character surprised me, but in a good way.

  2. This releases on my second daughter's 11th b-day, so it'll be an easy date to remember. :)

Can hardly wait to see Teagan and Hadrian again and find out the reasons for all the Garreth hate/dislike in this book.

I don't believe there is going to be a sequel, though, as the author answered an e-mail of mine recently and said that this books "ends quite nicely..." She did say, however, that if there is a third book, it would be a prequel to Angel Star. That sounds great to me as I really loved the first book!

    Thanks for the great review!!!
