CWA Celebrations-Day 17, An Interview with Magnus & CWA Poster Giveaway

Today's CWA post is our character interview with Magnus, from Clockwork Angel. If you love Magnus in TMI, wait till you meet him in CWA. Magnus is a stand out character for me in the TMI series. I loved seeing a different side to him in CWA, but I have a feeling we've only just scratched the surface with his character in CWA.

Which character relationship in the Infernal Devices would Alec be most jealous over?
Will

Where does your sense of style come from in Infernal Devices?
A sense of style can be nurtured, but first one must be born with it.

Do you miss living in London or do you prefer New York?
London has changed a great deal since I knew it. If I miss London, it isn't a London that exists any more. There's a Pret a Manger in Berkeley Square, for goodness sake. Berkeley Square!

We're giving away a Clockwork Angel poster. To be entered to win, be sure you're a blog follower and/or a forum member and leave us a comment with your email address. 1 winner will be randomly selected this coming Friday at noon, CST. *open internationally*

Book Review- Courting Miss Lancaster

By Sarah M. Eden
Published by Covenant Communications
Released on March 1st 2010
4 stars-I really liked this book; go pick it up

Harry Windover adores blonde, green-eyed Athena Lancaster, but alas, a penniless man like himself has no hope of winning a young noblewoman’s hand. To add insult to injury, Athena’s brother-in-law and guardian, the Duke of Kielder, has asked Harry to assist Athena in finding the gentleman of her dreams. But the lovesick Harry is cunning as well: as the weeks pass, he introduces Athena to suitors who are horrifically boring, alarmingly attached to their mothers, downright rude, astoundingly self-absorbed, and utterly ridiculous. Athena can’t comprehend why she is having so little success meeting eligible and acceptable gentlemen. Indeed, her circle of admirers couldn’t be less admirable — nothing like the loyal, gentle friend she’s found in Harry. But how long can Harry’s scheme be hidden before it is discovered? And what will Athena do when she uncovers Harry’s deception? Escape into a charming regency world in this delightfully romantic comedy of manners that will entertain you to the very last word.

If you are a fan of Jane Austen this book will captivate you. Courting Miss Lancaster has the perfect mix of comedy and Young Adult regency romance. Athena Lancaster is at the high time of her life, it is her year to come out into society and meet a match who would be the perfect gentleman and husband. Living as an orphan with her sister and new brother in law, her future is placed in the hands of their long time friend Harry Windsor. Harry is given charge over becoming a suitor sorter for Athena. The only catch is that he himself is completely enamored and cannot help but to send a few unsightly gentleman Athena's way. His hopes of teaching her what she really wants (someone like him) are dashed time and time again as the plot turns to comedy. The characters are well-developed and witty and the pages are full of funny sarcastic banter. You'll be swept up in envy over the secondary players and the marriage of Persephone and the Duke of Kielder. They truly are made for each other.

This is a delightful, witty and light hearted read that is perfect for teens and adults alike. Sarah Eden wrote a novel preceding this one entitled "Seeking Persephone" which I have not read, but since they are written as companion novels- you could read each independently. "Courting Miss Lancaster" is a treat with sketches of the variety of men on parade that try their hand at becoming betrothed. The plot endears readers and the ultimate development is one of true love. Read more about Sarah M Eden and visit her website at http://www.sarahmeden.com/
