The Twilight Graphic Novel on sale March 16, 2010

This was the book that started it all for many of us. Meaning, that for many of us Twilight renewed our love for YA. This is very exciting to see that Twilight is being made into a Graphic Novel. It's already ranked #4 in sales on Amazon, and it's not out until March! Pre-order now as only 350,000 1st printing copies will be released. You can read more about that on Stephenie's site here: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/index.html#66
And Hachette Book Group (the publisher) has talked about it here: http://www.hbgusa.com/.
Here's a bit of their interview with Stephenie- and a sneak peak of the Graphic Novel

The text of your original novel is boiled down so carefully that it doesn’t feel like anything is missing. Were you the one who did that?

I was definitely involved. I didn’t do the original “script” for the book, so to speak. But when I got the dialogue with the images, I did a lot of tinkering. In a couple of places, I asked for missing scenes to be inserted. For example, the conversation in the car that Bella and Edward have after she faints in Biology.

Mundie Mom Author Chats

*we needed to add a "Jace" picture on here, as Rob's now been on our blog twice. lol
We just wanted to let everyone know we are working on posting our chat with Cassandra Clare. Thank you so much for your interest in reading the chat. Due to how large the chat was, it is taking us a bit longer than we thought to edit the chat and post it. We are planning on having the chat posted on our forums here-
All of our author chats are posted in that forum. Our most resent author chat posted is Bree Despain's chat with us.

Thank you again for your patience and we'll make a post on here when it's up. You will need to be Mundie Mom Forum member to read it.

Waiting on Wednesday- Shadow Hills by Anastasia Hopcus

Idea is hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine
Published by EgmontUSA
Released July 2010

Summary:
Since her sister’s mysterious death, Persephone “Phe” Archer has been plagued by a series of disturbing dreams. Determined to find out what happened to her sister, Phe enrolls at Devenish Prep in Shadow Hills, Massachusetts—the subject of her sister’s final diary entry.

After stepping on campus, Phe immediately realizes that there’s something different about this place—an unexplained epidemic that decimated the town in the 1700s, an ancient and creepy cemetery, and gorgeous boy Zach—and somehow she’s connected to it all.

But the more questions she asks and the deeper she digs, the more entangled Phe becomes in the haunting past of Shadow Hills. Finding what links her to this town…might cost her her life. (taken from goodreads)

There was been so much wonderful buzz about Shadow Hills. I can not wait to read it. The front of the book has me sucked in, "Shadow Hills His love captivated her...His secrets might kill her."- That is definitely a Mundie Moms must read!! I'm even more excited about it as Anastasia is a local author!! We love to support authors, but it's even more meaningful to support a local author.

You can follow Anastasia on Twitter http://twitter.com/anastasiahopcus

We are very excited as we will be chatting with Anastasia this summer before the release of Shadow Hills. We'll also have a fun give away planned as well. We're looking forward to sharing our review of Shadow Hills.
